About this day nursery

Kids Academy provides high-quality, year-round childcare in Leeds for children aged three months to five years. Registered by OFSTED under the Children’s Act 2006, the nursery meets all OFSTED requirements to the highest standards.

The nursery focuses on supporting children's development through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with a variety of planned activities in both indoor playrooms and outdoor garden areas. Children also benefit from specialist teachers delivering dance and drama sessions.

The dedicated and experienced team, many with Level 3 or higher qualifications and managers holding Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), are committed to ongoing training to stay updated on best practices. Kids Academy maintains open communication with parents through daily updates and regular meetings to discuss their child’s individual needs and progress.

They operate from two locations in Leeds: Adel and West Park, both equipped with spacious play areas and fostering environments for fun and learning.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported very well. Staff make prompt referrals when they identify any concerns to enable children to have access to the support they need. Staff work closely with families and other professionals, ensuring all children make excellent progress in relation to their starting points in development.

Outdoor space

Staff encourage children to wear sun hats outside, and they teach them about the importance of dental health. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact on children's learning.

Great nursery. The staff are so caring and helpful. They have a vast amount of combined knowledge and all the children are nurtured and helped to grow. Cannot recommend them enough.

Loverly nursery and brilliant staff, I have seen both my children through this nursery since 2015 and both have loved and thrived during their time. The level of development a child receives from the nursery is brilliant. Having also worked for the company for over 14 years I can safely say the children are well looked after and cares for by the staff just like they were our own children, couldn't recommend more.
