30am to 6pm, all year round. The day nursery registered in September 2022 and received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted at its inspection on 12 February 2025.

This inspiring setting ensures all children make amazing progress, with a strong focus on emotional development. Staff and managers foster a strong home-nursery partnership, keeping the child at the core of all activities.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive exceptional support, with additional funding carefully allocated to enrich their life experiences and help them make rapid progress. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on emotional development, recognising it as a solid grounding for successful learning.

The day nursery has successfully embedded rules, even for risky outdoor activities like campfires, ensuring children prioritise safety while remaining engaged. The dedicated leaders and staff are committed to providing the best start in life for all children, regardless of their backgrounds.

The nursery has specialist sports coaching staff who plan engaging exercise activities, such as using a dinosaur story to encourage movement. Before indoor learning, some children start their day outdoors with a sensory circuit to regulate emotions, which positively impacts concentration.

Babies develop close bonds with staff, which continue as they grow and move through the nursery. Staff prepare children for school by building self-help skills like dressing and toilet use, and children visit local schools for phonics lessons to aid transition.

Parents are actively involved through stay-and-play sessions and outdoor learning, with the nursery offering an advice library and drop-in support for parents on various topics.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive exceptional support. Additional funding is carefully allocated to enrich children's life experiences. There is a strong emphasis on helping children progress in the areas of learning where they need the most support. As a result, children make rapid progress from their starting points.

Outdoor space

Even when undertaking more risky activities in the outside area, such as lighting camp fires, the children keep safety as a priority. Before children begin their indoor learning, staff know that some children need to regulate their emotions and so start their day outdoors doing a sensory circuit. Staff have found that this has impacted concentration and readiness to learn positively. Staff encourage families to take part in outdoor learning to appreciate the positive impact this can have on children's well-being as well as the abundance of skills that it can teach.
