Our ethos
Our commitment is to provide high quality early years child care and education for children aged 2-4years. Parents and carers are welcomed as part of our nursery family and we work in close partnership with them. We support a parent’s right to be valued and respected, consulted, kept informed and included at all levels, to provide a service that promotes equality and values diversity. It is our aim to ensure that each child feels safe, cared for and valued and whose individual development is supported by a stimulating environment. Each child is able to explore the nursery and build upon their own interests, what they already know and make relationships with others.

How they support every child
SEND provision
Children learn to be mindful of and are kind to their friends with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff support children with SEND extremely well and are equally ambitious for all children. Leaders are tenacious in accessing funding and support for children with SEND.
Outdoor space
Outdoor learning is a strength of the provision. Walks in the local area promote children's stamina and they spot letters and numbers while they are out. Staff support children to bend and stretch as they paint and make marks in outdoor areas to support physical development and overall wellbeing.

We initially enquired at St Thomas nursery as our daughter had been placed at the school and wouldn't know any of her new classmates. But once we visited, we knew it was the right choice. The staff are incredibly warm and kind, very welcoming and down to earth. Nothing has ever been too much trouble and they make a lot of effort to ensure everyone is happy and informed. The misery itself is lovely and my children love being outside so having so much choice and space really makes it perfect for them. We have had zero issues or complaints, we are really happy with everything and would recommend it to anyone.

Brilliant Nursery. Staff who genuinely care and have time to do amazing activities with the kids. Always something going on which is brilliant. Staff are good with allergies/ additional health and learning needs. Highly recommend.

Fantastic nursery and lovely staff that form a great relationships with the children and their families, The staff have worked here for years and enjoy doing what they do. All four of my children attended this nursery and have loved every minute especially the beach school and developed many skills in lots of different areas. We didn't go onto attend st Thomas's school but sent all our children to this nursery even though others were more convenient because it really is a great place with an amazing outside area for the children to explore and lots of different activities for the children to enjoy!

St Thomas' is a wonderful nursery with a truly inspiring environment for learning, playing, growing, exploring, and everything else that should come in our early years! My daughter went to a different, much larger, private nursery in St Anne's from being 11 months to 2 years old and the difference between the two childcare settings is phenomenal, we are so glad we made the move. St Thomas' feels like we are part of a nursery family and the whole team is supportive and caring. I love how creative the nursery is, how they get 'out and about' quite a bit, - especially to the beach and to places within our local community - and most of all I love how they promote independence and an 'I can' attitude to our little ones, which sets such good foundations for life skills to grow from. Couldn't be happier.

This is a fantastic nursery. My 2 boys have really enjoyed attending this nursery. They are fantastic at getting the pre school children ready to make to the move to school. All the staff are fantastic and are always ready to help or listen. My son's key person is absolutely fantastic. I'm sure when my little girl starts in September she will thrive under their care. Thankyou for all the hard work and effort you put in to these children
