The nursery maintains a "Good" Ofsted rating, following its inspection on 19th June 2024. Children thrive in a nurturing and calm environment, quickly settling and developing self-confidence thanks to the strong relationships forged with staff.
The staff implement an ambitious curriculum designed to spark children's interests and support their learning through critical thinking and firsthand experiences. This includes opportunities for physical activity, such as brisk walks to the park for pre-schoolers and creative ramp-building for toddlers, while babies are encouraged in their physical development through tummy time and exploration.
Both communication and language development are strongly emphasised within the curriculum. Bilingual staff support children who speak English as an additional language by using their home languages while expanding their English vocabulary, fostering confidence in their language development.
The nursery also effectively uses early years pupil premium funding to support children in controlling their emotions, particularly those who are disadvantaged, by providing sensory resources like fidget toys and sensory boxes to aid self-regulation. Staff also support children in understanding boundaries and safety, adapting their approach for different starting points.
For instance, they gently explain rules like using "indoor feet" to toddlers during chasing games. The nursery also provides funded education for two-, three- and four-year-old children.

Inclusion & environment
The provider has used early years pupil premium funding to help children control their emotions. They have purchased sensory stimulation resources, such as fidget toys and sensory boxes, which staff use to help children self-regulate and control their impulses, especially the most disadvantaged.
Staff provide many opportunities for children to be physically active. Pre-school children start their day with a vigorous walk to the park and toddlers develop control of their bodies as they build complex ramp structures. Babies are supported to practise their growing physical skills through tummy time, crawling and exploring inviting spaces.
Staff who are bilingual support children who speak English as an additional language. They communicate with children in their home languages while building their English vocabulary, helping children to develop confidence as they move between the language structures that they speak.
All of the staff at Kids Planet Lymm have been exceptional! They have gone above and beyond for our little boy and we couldn’t be happier with the service! Nothing is too much to ask. Every staff member is caring, diligent, friendly, approachable and so dedicated to their roles. Everyone says hello to your child, even from a different room they know them by name. It’s such a personalised approach. Special shout out to Faye the manager. She is incredible and so detail oriented and organised. She is also approachable and always makes time for discussions and support. Pippa is also incredible! Very focused and lovely the pair make an incredible management team. Megan and Shannen in the baby room are also amazing! I cannot fault them and the care they give to my son. Having Chi the sports coach is also amazing and particularly helpful for my little boy as he has complex needs and a developmental delay and Chi is already providing him some support and I have no doubt he will come leaps and bounds. Thank you all so much. Highly reccomend!
