About this day nursery

30pm for 51 weeks of the year. The nursery, rated 'Good' by Ofsted on 23rd October 2023, prides itself on offering a kind and caring environment where children feel well looked after.

The inspection highlighted that babies giggle with delight during water play and older children spontaneously hug staff, showcasing the strong bonds developed. Staff are attentive and provide encouragement and praise, helping children become confident and motivated to learn.

Kids Planet Urmston has a well-led and managed environment with an appropriately challenging curriculum that fosters good development for all children. Despite some recent staffing changes, children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress due to individualised planning and regular developmental checks.

The curriculum ensures children acquire secure skills and knowledge across all learning areas. Parents have noted that their children have 'come out of their shell' and appreciate the daily feedback they receive, feeling knowledgeable about their child's developmental stage.

Children are physically active with ample outdoor play opportunities in a well-planned environment that supports responsible risk-taking, enhancing their coordination and control in large movements. Staff also effectively support communication and language development, from singing rhymes with babies to engaging pre-school children in story discussions.

Additionally, older children are encouraged to explore emotions, contributing to their well-being and happiness.
