Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff work closely with a range of professionals to support children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. They identify the needs of children and provide individualised support such as one-to-one sessions to focus on the child's individual targets. This means that children get the early help that they need to make progress.
Children particularly enjoy exploring the exciting outdoor area that has been designed to stimulate their senses. Children smile as they splash in puddles and spot planes in the sky.
My Daughter recently started going to Stepping stones nursery and I was nervous about how she would respond being away from me and with new people. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. The staff were amazing at making her feel comfortable and she began really quickly to be excited to go into nursery. It was really important to me that a nursery put effort into different types of play and that she was able to go outside a lot. When I collect her most of the time she is playing outside (they have an amazing outdoor play area) and she is either speckled in paint or in her 2nd outfit change of the day because she has had so much fun playing in water. They have done activities around trying new foods and she is always babbling her nursery rhymes that she loves singing when there. A special thanks to Cortney who is her key worker, she helped her really settle in and I know my daughter feels comfortable going to her for cuddles if she is feeling a little down or upset. We get pictures most days on an app with how she is doing which is great and lovely to see. Really pleased we choose Stepping stones Urmston.

Read on GoogleMy son has just left Stepping Stones and has had the best experience! I've visited quite a few nurseries for my kids and Roxie and her team are by far head and shoulders above the rest. The staff are very friendly and personable and genuinely care about the children and their families, the children are extremely well cared for and supported and the nursery is honestly like a home from home. Very highly recommended, particularly if you feel your child needs a bit of extra support.
Read on GoogleMy granddaughter has been attending this nursery since being 9 months old. All the staff have made her feel welcome and have nurtured her development. She loves going everyday to play, to learn and join in all the activities (i could open a gallery with her paintings). She has made many friends at the nursery and talks about them all the time. She has grown in confidence and it is so satisfying to see that she is cared for whilst away from her home environment.
