How they support every child
SEND provision
Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), are provided with safe, calming spaces where they can regulate their emotions and develop a greater awareness of how they feel. Staff work in close partnerships with parents and other professionals as required to put individualised plans in place. Children's plans are reviewed regularly to monitor progress and explore any further adaptations needed. Children receiving support for their emotional wellbeing have their own SEND suitcases filled with individualised items, which are explored with their key person.
Outdoor space
Older children compare and measure the length of their wings as they pretend to be birds in the garden. Leaders have improved procedures to make sure children are carefully accounted for as they transition into and out of the garden. While physical development is supported, staff do not always take advantage of teachable moments, such as using descriptive language during water play, limiting the extension of children's skills and knowledge.
EAL / language support
Children who speak English as an additional language are valued and appreciated, and additional funding is used effectively to offer a wider range of experiences and interventions, supporting their individual needs.

Very disappointing experience with Kids Planet. I initially booked a show-around online but didn’t receive any confirmation. I then called and made my appointment booked in. However, when I arrived, no one answered the phone and no one opened the door, despite me waiting outside. This lack of communication and organisation is really concerning, especially when choosing childcare. Unfortunately, it left a very poor first impression.
