How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff provide effective interventions for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including involving other professionals where needed. The manager uses additional funding to help children access the full curriculum, such as through specialised resources or one-to-one support. As a result, all children make good progress from their starting points.

Outdoor space

The report mentions that staff understand that some parents work long hours and have little time for outings with their children, so they ensure that children have opportunities to visit local parks and open spaces, and also arrange trips further afield, such as to the seaside. The inspector observed a range of learning experiences indoors and outdoors.

Kidz Choice is such a lovely, warm, welcoming place with teachers who are kind, caring, knowledgeable about child development and clearly love what they do. The children are offered a great variety of options for play & learning, including messy play, sand and water play, and time outdoors using the climbing frames. There are trips, international evenings and celebrations of Mother’s and Father’s Days for the parents, which really help create a community atmosphere. I’ve really seen my children grow in confidence and their skills develop since they started attending Kidz Choice. A genuine quote from my son was “I love Kidz Choice, I want to stay there forever!” I feel so fortunate to have found this nursery for my children, as I feel confident every time they go that they are in safe hands ❤️

Both of my children attended this nursery — my daughter from age 2 and my son from 8 months, both until reception. The care and dedication from the staff have been truly exceptional. From the first steps to potty training, every milestone was supported with love, patience, and professionalism. What really makes this nursery stand out is the individual approach to every single child. We received daily updates on what our little ones were doing, along with regular feedback on their development. The rooms are beautifully equipped, the outdoor area is fantastic, and everything is always incredibly clean. Fresh and healthy meals are cooked on-site every day — such a rare and valuable thing for a nursery. The home-like atmosphere made it feel like a second family, and we always knew our children were in the very best hands. The confidence and courage this team has instilled in my children’s hearts is absolutely priceless. They both started school happy, confident, and well-prepared, and they’ve never had any issues adjusting to primary education. Even now, they love popping into the nursery just to say hello to their teachers — a true sign of the connection they built there. I can’t express enough gratitude for the incredible impact this nursery has had on our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work, love, and dedication. This is, without a doubt, the best nursery not only in the area but in the whole Barnet Council. I wish you continued success and hope many more children and parents get to experience the amazing service and peace of mind you provide. You're truly one of a kind — thank you! Magdalena and Family!

The staff at Kidz Choice are the absolute best! My 2 and a half year old daughter loves her teachers. The owner Alex and her staff go out of their way to arrange trips out for the kids. Whether this is the local park, the library, the woods (for a picnic) or further a-field (aquarium, safari park…). Parents are invited to some of the events too - which really helps build a community. Thanks for everything you do for our daughter, and my son is looking forward to joining in 2026!

Kidz Choice has done such a great job in not only looking after our boy three days a week from when he was 9 months old to reception, but especially in helping him develop his social skills and grow into the wonderful boy he is today. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff!
