Inclusion & environment
The manager and the staff are ambitious for every child, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, to make good progress. They plan the curriculum around what children need to know next and what engages them.
Staff provide children with opportunities to build on their physical development. Toddlers enjoy using the balance boards in the garden. However, when children play outside in the garden, the resources in the environment are limited and, occasionally, staff do not think through how to create the best possible learning outcomes.
Staff support children, including those who speak English as an additional language, to be confident communicators. They speak to children throughout the day. Children demonstrate confidence in offering their thoughts and ideas.
Our baby girl joined The Hyde in January 2023 when she was nearly 11 months old. She absolutely loves going to the nursery. The staff are brilliant with the babies and keep them safe and entertained all day long. They do a range of activities each day and provide parents with lots of pictures which is lovely to see. It is a lovely environment and we’re really happy we chose The Hyde for our baby. We would certainly recommend it. Our thanks go to Jodie and her team.

Read on GoogleWe are so happy with the nursery. We joined in January 2023 and our son loves his friends and the staff and has lots of fun there. The staff goes above and beyond to make it fun, comfortable and stimulating for the children. We are very pleased with them, he has had such lovely key-persons both in baby room and now in toddler room. It’s a colourful, spacious, clean and comfortable environment for the children. We looked around quite a few before we chose Hyde and couldn’t find any other this spacious and clean. And the staff is so attentive and caring for the children, they come up with wonderful activities for the kids.
