Inclusion & environment
Leaders identify and meet children's needs effectively, ensuring that all children receive highly individualised support, working closely with parents and external professionals to implement targeted strategies that reduce barriers to learning, particularly in communication, regulation and independence. The setting uses additional funding, including interim Funding, Disability Access Funding and Early Years Pupil Premium, with clear intent to provide enhanced staffing, specialist resources and tailored interventions, and regularly reviews children's progress to adapt support strategies.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those facing barriers to learning make significant and measurable progress; children who initially showed limited engagement begin to initiate interaction, seek out others and participate in shared play, and in some cases, children who were previously unable to walk now move independently.
I just wanted to share my views on this amazing Nursery. being a mum of twin boys both with Autism, it is very difficult to find a setting that could cater for both their needs. I wanted to find somewhere that would be able to take care of my boys and treat them as the individuals they are. When we first went to visit the nursery the staff were very welcoming and warm. They took my boys from me immediately and took them to go play. I loved this because they knew it was not about impressing the parents it was about making the boys welcome and letting them explore the environment. I have been to places where the staff and management make it all about the parents but it’s not us that have to attend these places it’s our children. So for that i thank you. One of my boys is non verbal and self harms! Not only did they understand this straight away, they were generally comforting and made us feel like not only would the boys be going to a nursery they would be going to warm and calming place and I felt safe that they were going to join not just a place to be but be part of a unique family. I highly recommend Kidsproof. Take it from a mum who really does struggle on a day to day basis to help them with their needs Xxx
Read on GoogleMy daughter started kidzproof about a year and a half ago now. When she started, she was completely non-verbal, she struggled with communication and also playing or interacting with other children or adults. After just a few weeks at kidzproof, i could see improvements straight away. My daughter starting humming nursery rhymes, doing actions to these nursery rhymes. She was so happy when coming out of nursery, sometimes even resisting to leave because she was having so much fun. She could'nt wait to go to nursery each week, she would run in without a second look. Today, my daughter is saying a lot of single words, espcially when associated with objects. She interacts more with her peers and adults. She participates in all activities, even ones that are messy. (She hated textures and things that were messy before she started kidzproof). I cannot thank the staff here enough for everything they have done for my daughter and continue to do. Leaving your child is such a hard thing to do, especially in the hands of people you dont know and even more so when your child has additional needs or cant tell you when something is wrong, but all the ladies here and harrison honestly treat all the kids as their own and this shows in how comfortable your child is around them and how happy they are when they come out. I would recommend kidzproof 100%. We will be sad to go when my daughter starts big school and i only hope her next school is as caring and encouraging as this pre-school.
Read on GoogleI had the pleasure of visiting the nursery this week and felt compelled to leave a review -something I don’t usually do. The staff were incredibly kind and clearly dedicated to meeting the children’s care needs and providing meaningful stimulation. Every child I saw appeared happy engaged and content in their activities. The atmosphere was joyful welcoming and full of fun. What a wonderful place - I would highly recommend it.
