About this day nursery

Children are greeted enthusiastically by staff and friends, settling quickly into the wide range of activities on offer. The setting prides itself on its flexible environment, allowing children to move freely between indoor and outdoor play.

Outdoors, children enjoy interactive learning, such as operating a pump to transfer water for play. The curriculum at Rainbows Preschool is ambitious, with an improved range of resources designed to engage and motivate children.

Regular observations help staff to track each child's progress, identify any emerging learning gaps, and ensure children develop key skills essential for their next stage of learning. This approach supports all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The preschool was noted for the manager's dedication, working hard with her team to enhance teaching quality since its previous inspection. Partnerships with parents are strong, with daily feedback and home learning packs provided to support children's development beyond the preschool.

Was really nervous about my little girl starting nursery at 6 months old but the staff here have been nothing short of amazing. They are all like her second mums and she’s always excited to jump into their arms on drop off. Love the daily updates with photos and even sleep/feeding/changing times. This nursery is 5*, highly recommend.

My daughter has been attending rainbows for 2 years, she is in her second year at rainbows. She’s due to leave in July, my little girl has thrived since being here, she’s happy, content, she always comes out with such positive comments about her teachers, peers, her school day! I’m sad that she has to leave! We have loved every milestone at rainbows. The best pre school in this area by far!
