The Ofsted report described a homely environment where children feel safe and are eager to learn. Children were seen to form strong relationships with staff and develop close friendships. Outdoor activities include daily trips to a garden patch where children grow fruit and vegetables. They also use sit-on vehicles, learning to check for obstacles before riding down a sloped path. According to the inspector, parents are thrilled with their children's progress.

Our ethos

The preschool embraces an ethos where children actively engage with nature, feeding lambs, foraging for blackberries, and cultivating vegetables in their own allotment garden. They believe in providing a unique outdoor learning experience, allowing children to choose to learn and play outdoors throughout the day, all while adhering to the Early Years Foundation framework.

What it's like

Children arrive eager to learn at the homely, welcoming environment created by staff. They have strong relationships with all staff and feel safe and secure in their care. Children develop close friendships and share resources willingly.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged at a flat hourly rate for additional hours and non-funded two-year-old placements. Invoices are issued in advance on a half-termly basis.
