About this day nursery

30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Established in 2011, the nursery received a "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 28th July 2023.

Children enjoy positive interactions with staff and show excitement during activities, such as bubble time in the baby room. The curriculum, planned by the manager and staff, prioritises communication and language development, with staff repeating words to aid pronunciation and helping children identify animal names.

Outdoor learning is a key feature; toddlers and pre-schoolers enjoy running in the garden, enhancing their physical stamina. Younger children can also interact with older children and adults in other garden areas through purpose-made fence holes.

Children develop balance and coordination through activities like walking across wooden logs, supported by staff. They are encouraged to express themselves through crafts, explaining their artwork, and build an understanding of numbers through engaging activities like counting pretend sausages.

The nursery also fosters a love of books, provides outings such as swimming lessons for pre-school children, and teaches children about growing fruit and vegetables, from ground to plate. Staff emotionally support children during transitions between rooms, ensuring familiarity with new environments, staff, and peers.

They also provide specific praise for children's achievements, such as pouring their own drinks, promoting independence and self-confidence.
