Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents talk about how staff provide them with regular information about their child that helps them support learning at home. This helps them to understand their child's day as they are no longer allowed into the nursery due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. They describe the nursery as 'brilliant' and the staff as 'professional'.
Inclusion & environment
The manager and staff have organised an ambitious curriculum, whereby children make good progress, including those children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff swiftly identify any gaps in children's learning, and plan activities to help to close them. They work closely with outside agencies to ensure support is accessed quickly.
Children enjoy regular access to the nursery's outside area, where they have fun exploring a range of activities to practise their physical skills. Older children enjoy regular yoga sessions and practise using the pedals to move the bicycle around the garden.
My son has been at Ladybirds for the last 15 months and I cannot praise the nursery enough! The staff are incredible and make such an effort to make each day fun, educational and stimulating. My son always comes home with new crafts, treats from bread to cookies that they have made and even gifts they have made for parents! The setting is a great size with small class numbers meaning all the staff know all of the children. Parents are always invited to join activities and there are trips out too. My son has had a wide range of allergies and all have them have been accommodated - we feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery in the heart of Beckenham!
Read on GoogleThe care that the nursery staff provide is outstanding. You could not wish to have better people looking after your child. We were so impressed with how much our little boy grew and developed whilst he was there. They did so many activities with the children and he really enjoyed learning about different cultures for instance at Diwali and Black History month which was great. The food that was provided was lovely and nutritious too.
Read on GoogleI can't speak highly enough of Ladybird and their lovely staff. Our son was in the caterpillar room (for 6 months to 2 year-olds) through a very tumultuous 2020, and they were brilliant. He took a while to settle but the staff were always so caring, to him and us. They'd often call to let us know if he'd had a difficult time at drop-off, which was a big relief. He developed so much whilst there, and you could tell how much he loved his carers, and his new friends. As a new-ish parent, sending your little one away to spend all day with strangers is daunting, but you couldn't be in better hands with Ladybird. They became like an extended family, and we were so sad to leave when we moved house. We'll miss you all!
