How they support every child

SEND provision

This includes children who speak English as an additional language and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The manager, who is also the special educational needs coordinator, spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Outside, children use the climbing frame and very competently move themselves about safely, learning to manage risk independently. They instinctively work out how to build structures in the garden with blocks, by making different shapes, such as squares, triangles, and rectangles.

Our daughter has attended Bellissima Beckenham Junction for almost a year now and we have had a fantastic experience. The staff are warm, caring and very invested in each child's learning and wellbeing. Many of them have worked at the nursery for many years and we really value their experience and expertise. Feedback on our daughter's daily activities and development is excellent. After a rocky time at a previous nursery, she is now confident, happy and excited about going to see her friends and teachers each day. Thank you, Team BBJ!

My daughter has gone to Bellissima since she was 7 months old and we are so happy with the nursery. All members of staff are brilliant. They care so much about the wellbeing and education of the children. My daughter is always happy to go to nursery every morning (except for the odd days) and she has made so many friends. I honestly wouldn't pick any other nursery.

Amazing nursery, cannot recommend enough. Both my kids settled super quickly to the BKJ site and are very happy here. Well organised with great communication from management. All the staff are so friendly and committed to the children, with many having worked here for years. Daily changes to activities in all the rooms, and great in preparing the kids for the start of school. It is not at all surprising there is such a long waiting list!

Bellissima Beckenham Junction is an amazing nursery. I have sent my three children to this nursery after having a terrible time at another local nursery. Bellissima was like a breathe of fresh air compared to any others I had been to. The staff are engaged, proactive with your child’s development, they truly care for your children and have such enthusiasm. My children got the absolute best care and I had such confidence in leaving them with the staff as you have an online portal updating you on everything that is happening and pictures sent during the day (which was especially important in the early days). I cannot recommend this nursery enough for anyone needing to find that safe, caring and engaged environment for your children.

We have been very happy with Bellissima, our daughter and son having each spent their pre-school years at this nursery. Both have had positive experiences and have learned a lot during their time there. They have also really enjoyed themselves, thanks to the caring yet professional staff. We have experienced no problems, whilst handling of the pandemic has been carried out carefully and sensitively by staff. With our son shortly to leave to begin school, we thank the staff and fully, happily recommend Bellissima to others. We have good memories :)
