About this day nursery

Ladybird Nursery Ramsbottom is an established and long-standing early years provision with over 50 years of experience, located on the first floor of the Buchanan Sports and Social Club. The nursery, a family-run business, was acquired by the current managing directors, Kim and Jess, in 2013, who collectively bring over two decades of experience within the setting.

Their mother, Tracy, who retired in 2020, continues to contribute by preparing delicious daily meals on-site. The nursery prides itself on offering an outstanding, nurturing, and welcoming environment where children are encouraged to grow and learn, fostering a sense of belonging, happiness, engagement, confidence, and resilience.

They are committed to providing stimulating activities, carefully planned spaces, and high-quality interactions from experienced and qualified practitioners. The provision features a large outdoor area that mirrors the indoor environment with extended learning opportunities such as bug hunting, planting, and cultivating, as well as an area for bikes, scooters, and climbing equipment.

The nursery is divided into four distinct rooms: "Little Ladybirds" for children aged birth to 2 years (up to 10 children), "Blossoming Bumble Bees" for 2-3 year olds (up to 16 children), and "Busy Butterflies" for 3-4 year olds in their pre-school year (up to 28 children). The team is highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic, with all staff members trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding children, food hygiene, allergy awareness, and fire safety.

Today was my son’s first settling in session at the nursery, he was quite upset to begin with when I left but Kim and all the other ladies were brilliant with him. Kim kept me updated to reassure me that he was okay and what he was up to. Honestly they truly went above and beyond for him today and I’m so happy I chose this nursery. If any mum is feeling apprehensive, honestly this nursery is the one!! He is also a very fussy eater so Kim asked me what he likes to eat and she made him just that. You don’t get this level of care and attention in many nurseries and I’m really pleased I chose LadyBird nursery. Thank you Kim and all the rest of the wonderful team.

This nursery has refused to give children back to parents with no right to keep them from parents. Staff are incredibly rude.
