Despite being located within school grounds, the nursery maintains a distinctly homely feel, ensuring children feel safe and secure. Staff pride themselves on treating children as their own, fostering warm, supportive, and respectful relationships.

Children are extremely happy, highly confident, and thoroughly enjoy their time at the nursery, which received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 13 September 2021. The nursery places a strong emphasis on developing literacy skills, with opportunities for mark-making in all areas and bringing traditional tales to life.

Staff utilise inspiring outdoor learning areas, including a forest dwelling, to teach children about nature and develop their physical skills, such as learning to keep safe by wearing helmets when riding bicycles. The nursery effectively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) by focusing teaching to ensure all children make good progress, introducing new information during listening activities.

Children are encouraged to share personal belongings, fostering a sense of value and celebrating individuality. Staff ensure children develop excellent social skills, behave impeccably, and follow routines with good manners.

The nursery also provides children with new life experiences, such as bus rides, visits to a local care home, supermarket, and Ramsbottom Library, broadening their knowledge of the wider world. Parents are extremely complimentary, noting that staff know the children well and prepare them effectively for school.
