About this day nursery

Ladybird Private Day Nursery at Folly Brook House is dedicated to providing children with an optimal start in life, fostering their development through engaging, age-appropriate educational experiences tailored to individual strengths and interests. The nursery aims to create a warm and homely atmosphere within its purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility.

Key to their approach is a robust settling-in process, offering free introductory sessions over one to two weeks, customised to each child's age, developmental stage, and specific needs. Before a child starts, they are paired with a key person who establishes a strong relationship with both the child and their family, acting as a constant point of contact and support throughout their time at the nursery.

The curriculum focuses on free play to encourage independence across different age groups, from stimulating sensory activities for babies to early literacy and maths for preschoolers, guided by an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) qualified teacher. All children are encouraged to engage in daily outdoor play, utilising age-appropriate equipment for physical activity and learning.

The nursery also places high importance on a healthy, balanced diet, with meals prepared on-site by a qualified chef in consultation with a registered nutritionist. Ladybird Private Day Nursery is committed to fostering strong partnerships with parents and carers, recognising them as the child's primary educators, and has a management team with extensive experience in childcare.
