What it's like to attend

Inspector highlights

  • The nursery manager is passionate and her enthusiasm for wanting children to achieve at the highest level is evident. Staff fully understand the expectations of them and receive regular supervisions and appraisals with targets set, to build on their already outstanding practice.
  • Children with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND) are supported extremely well by a dedicated and passionate SEND coordinator. Staff take particular care when seeking support for children and found alternative ways of accessing required support when the usual route was delayed, ensuring needs are continuously met and interventions implemented promptly.
  • Children's communication and language are promoted tremendously well throughout the nursery, which is calm and provides many opportunities for children to use their communication skills. Staff model language to babies, engage toddlers in stories, and encourage pre-school children to be confident talkers.
  • Excellent partnerships are established between the nursery and parents. Families are encouraged to take books from the lending library and use home-learning packs and information sheets, fostering strong home-nursery connections.
  • Children very much lead their play, with staff providing activities spontaneously, such as helping pre-school children make kites after attending a kite festival, encouraging their creativity and discussion about their designs.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND) are supported extremely well by a dedicated and passionate SEND coordinator. Staff take particular care when seeking support for children. For example, when the usual route for support was delayed due to the pandemic, staff found alternative ways of accessing the required support. As a result, children's needs are continuously met and interventions are implemented promptly. Partnership working is excellent which further supports children and their families.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided indoors and outdoors and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

We just started but so far the experience has been fabulous. We have a little one in the baby room and I found it quite hard to leave her at first. Staff have been friendly and supportive and little one absolutely loves everyone there. It's a clean and welcoming environment with great staff. Even in baby room activities are always fun and stimulating to all children. Would highly recommend.

My little girl has been coming here since she was 9 months old and is now ready to leave to go to school. She is more than ready and that is down to all the amazing staff! I also have a 1 year old in the baby room who has been attending the nursery for 6 months. The staff are great and made it so easy for me to leave him in their care and having lots of updates on the app is really helpful with lots of pictures through out the day! I couldn't of picked a better nursery for my children.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 9 months old. She’s now 4 and getting ready to start school in September. I can’t thank the staff here enough for taking such good care of my baby girl over the past few years, she’s absolutely loved it and has so many amazing memories that I know she’ll cherish forever. As most parents will understand having to leave your baby to go to work is extremely difficult but the relationships she built with all of the staff made it so much easier when leaving her in their care. She talks about nursery all the time at home and the smile on her face says it all. I know she’s going to miss attending so much but she’s definitely school ready all thanks to you xxx

My daughter attends bright horizons and she loves it there! I've found the staff there to be kind and professional, they've been fantastic with communication and have been brilliant with accommodating any requests made. my daughter is coming on leaps and bounds with them and I can't recommend them enough.

The staff is selfish and don't have a clue how to take care of the little ones. The kids are left to play on their own, sometimes not even supervised. Those who cry are left without comforting. Absolutely heartbreaking to watch. I spent 3 hours there covering for someone's absence. Never again!!!
