Lancaster Lodge Childcare Ltd, established in 2013, provides childcare on non-domestic premises for children aged 0-4 years. 30pm, the nursery was rated as 'Good' by Ofsted following its latest inspection on 21st December 2022.
Children at Lancaster Lodge are encouraged to make independent choices in their play from a young age, with young babies confidently transitioning between indoor and outdoor learning environments throughout the day. Staff foster a warm and responsive atmosphere, helping children to feel safe and secure, and building trusting relationships.
The curriculum, developed by the manager, focuses on promoting children's independence and confidence, ensuring it is well-sequenced throughout the nursery. Children are provided with a range of experiences to broaden their understanding of the world, including visits from local paramedics and police officers.
The nursery effectively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, working alongside various professionals to ensure they receive a strong start to their early education. Older children benefit from transition packs, which include images of their new school and teacher, to help them adjust to their next stage of education.
Parents consistently express that staff are passionate and caring, and they feel safe leaving their children in their care due to the high level of trust they have in the team.
