About this day nursery

Leigh Cottage Childcare, established in 2007 and re-registered in 2021, provides an outstanding early years experience for children aged 0-4 years. 30pm, the day nursery fosters a nurturing environment where children are exceptionally valued by staff who have high ambitions for their development.

The curriculum is thoughtfully planned and innovative, stimulating all children's interests, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The special educational needs coordinator works to ensure comprehensive support for children with SEND.

Inspectors observed excellent care and respect from staff, who skillfully tailor learning to individual needs and interests, both indoors and outdoors. Children are encouraged to be independent and make their own choices, for example, by choosing their own snacks and engaging in extra activities based on their votes.

Parents consistently commend the day nursery for recognising each child as an individual and appreciating the detailed communication regarding their child's daily activities and development. The overall effectiveness of the provision was rated as Outstanding by Ofsted in June 2023.
