Lemon Tree, established in 2013, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. 30am until 6pm, excluding bank holidays and a Christmas week closure.

The nursery was rated Outstanding by Ofsted on its latest inspection on 4 November 2022. The curriculum is thoughtfully planned and consistently delivered, ensuring all children make excellent progress.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are exceptionally well supported by knowledgeable staff and an outstanding SENCo, making excellent progress. They participate in group activities tailored to their individual developmental stage, enjoying playful interactions like bubble popping and feather tickling.

Outdoors, children have many opportunities for physical activity; they roll balls, navigate obstacle courses, and enjoy the green spaces. Babies thrive in the fresh air, exploring autumn leaves and confidently navigating ramps.

Staff at Lemon Tree are highly attuned to each child, fostering a harmonious environment where children are resilient, confident, and eager to learn. Children develop strong communication and language skills, using complex vocabulary and showing a passion for reading.

The setting ensures a wonderfully enriching experience for all children.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make excellent progress. They are very well supported by knowledgeable staff and the exceptional special educational needs coordinator (SENCo). Children benefit from group activities which are planned for their exact stage of development and laugh delightedly as they pop bubbles and staff tickle them with feathers.

Outdoor space

Children have varied opportunities for physical activity. They roll balls, tackle obstacle courses and enjoy the green space outdoors. Babies thrive outdoors in the fresh air as they explore autumn leaves. They toddle eagerly over ramps, displaying confidence to manage risks independently.
