Li'l Champs Nursery, located centrally in Preston, serves the local community of Deepdale and its surroundings by offering a nurturing 'home from home' atmosphere. Established in January 2016 by friends Savannah and Barkha, the nursery stemmed from their shared desire to create a high-quality educational setting.
Both founders brought relevant experience: Barkha managed another nursery for over a decade, and Savannah contributed a legal management background. The facility was transformed from a disused health centre and quickly achieved an 'Ofsted Good' rating in 2017.
The nursery prides itself on its experienced and highly trained childcare practitioners who foster a stimulating learning environment through play, with a strong emphasis on the children's personal development, behaviour, and welfare. Li'l Champs is community-focused and dedicated to delivering outstanding nursery services.
The nursery provides children with their own outdoor play area, including facilities for tricycling, scootering, and water play. They also have access to a community allotment with raised beds for growing fruits and vegetables, encouraging an exploration of nature.
Additionally, forest school activities, like wood carving and treasure hunts, are offered for pre-school children at a nearby Woodland Forest School. The nursery caters to a multicultural community, valuing respect and kindness, and offers tailored educational programmes to help each child thrive and prepare for primary school.
Health and safety are paramount, with daily risk assessments and adherence to all government regulations, ensuring a secure and safe environment for all children.

Children benefit from lots of opportunities to develop their physical skills. They take part in daily exercise sessions with enthusiasm, climbing, balancing, running and jumping in the outdoor area, developing their gross-motor skills.
