Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well. Staff quickly identify those children who may need additional support and carefully consider how they can help them. For example, children access a sensory room, in which they explore and use their imaginations. Referrals to external professionals are made in a timely manner. This ensures that children receive the support they need and are ready for the next stage in their learning.
I’ve had the pleasure of delivering Bloom Preston baby classes at Small Wonders nursery for the past few months, and I’ve seen first-hand the incredible love and care given to every single baby. The team are attentive, nurturing, and full of fun, always ensuring each child feels calm, happy, and safe. Over the weeks, I’ve watched them speak to every baby with genuine love and respect, and it’s truly heartwarming. I only wish they were closer to home so my own daughter could attend! If your little one is lucky enough to be here, know that they are cherished and cared for by truly wonderful people

Read on GoogleMy four year old daughter had her final day at this nursery today, so thought it was time for a review. She has been there six months. Prior to this, she had a very unsettled upbringing. She was born three months prematurely, is autistic, and spent her life from her second birthday with her, her brother and I isolated in a domestic abuse refuge during covid and afterwards, leading to severe developmental delays. The progress she has made is astounding. Utterly mind-blowing. In her six months here she has progressed more than in the two years previously, picked up a whole range of new skills, no longer requires social services intervention or assistance and will be heading to a mainstream school next week, something I never dreamed was possible. The group and one to one care she has received have brought her out of her shell, talking and socialising in ways I've never seen, and transformed her development. The staff here have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions to help both my daughter AND myself through difficult times, they have been adaptable, understanding, helpful and caring every time I have spoken to them or required help. Shannon and Grace, in particular, worked directly with my daughter, and have been absolute angels. The nursery is clean, safe, well staffed, spacious, has a wide range of sensory toys and activities, a dedicated electronic sensory room which is better than any Surestart facility I have seen, a safe and expansive outdoor area, a great staff to child ratio, excellent management and impeccable security. No matter if you're looking for full time care or 15 hours government funded places, this nursery is second to none.
