Little Berries is a pre-school located at Kentisbury Primary School, serving children aged 0-4. Situated in a picturesque location just 15 minutes from Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, and Combe Martin, the pre-school offers a rich learning environment where children can explore and develop.
The curriculum emphasises learning through play, utilising extensive outdoor grounds, including a vegetable garden, a wildlife area, a large wooden climbing frame, and a tricycle track. Children also benefit from access to age-appropriate resources within the main school.
This integrated approach aims to create a happy and secure learning environment that provides a smooth transition into school life, ensuring a strong foundation for future academic success. The pre-school is governed by the West Exmoor Federation and boasts a team of fully qualified and experienced Early Years educators.
Parents have the flexibility to choose sessions that suit their needs, including full-day attendance or morning and afternoon sessions, with or without a lunch option. Healthy snacks, milk, and water are provided throughout the day.
Our ethos
Little Berries provides a happy and secure learning environment which extends into the Foundation Stage. This makes the transition into school life as smooth as possible for your child, giving them the very best possible start to their school career.
What it's like
The manager and staff provide interesting and engaging experiences for children, helping them to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge. Older children enthusiastically learn to count and recognise numbers, engage in activities that support dexterity and coordination, and develop a love of books. All children make good progress in their learning and feel safe and comfortable with the friendly staff team.
