Little Bloom Nursery and Pre-School in Reading, RG5 4JE, is a childcare on non-domestic premises setting that has recently undergone several Ofsted inspections due to concerns raised. These concerns, received in February and March 2026, related to various aspects including safeguarding policies, staff suitability and training, and support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
As a result of these inspections, welfare requirement notices were issued in March and April 2026, outlining specific actions needed to ensure compliance with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. The nursery is currently under suspension as of 21 April 2026, due to ongoing concerns that children may be at risk of harm.
This suspension means the nursery cannot provide childcare services while it works to address the identified issues and has the right to appeal this decision. Parents are encouraged to seek further information directly from the provider regarding these matters.
Fees are structured around hourly rates for hours attended outside of government funding, with separate rates for children aged under two and those aged two to five. A consumable charge is applied per full or half day session. Discounts are available for full-time bookings, NHS staff, siblings, and twins.

My son Vayu has been attending Little Bloom Nursery, and we are really happy with how he is settling in.The environment is warm, nurturing and very child-friendly,which has made a big difference in helping him feel more confident and comfortable. The staff are incredibly affectionate, patient and attentive.A special mention to Chloe, Leanne, Faith and Hayley, who have all been amazing with Vayu and have gone above and beyond to help him settle in smoothly. It is very reassuring as a parent to see how genuinely caring and supportive they are. We are grateful for the love and attention Vayu receives every day and would highly recommend Little Blooom Nursery to other parents looking for a safe, caring and positive environment for their child.
Read on GoogleI honestly can’t say enough good things. From the very first day, the staff made us feel so welcomed and at ease. It’s never easy leaving your little one in someone else’s care, but everyone here goes above and beyond to make the children (and parents!) feel comfortable and loved. My child absolutely loves going every morning — they run to the door with a huge smile, which tells me everything I need to know. The teachers are so warm, patient, and genuinely care about each child. They take the time to get to know every personality and make sure each kid feels seen and special. I also really appreciate how communicative they are. I get daily updates and photos, and it’s such a relief to know my child is having fun, learning, and being cared for so well throughout the day. The activities they plan are creative, educational, and full of joy — from art projects to outdoor play to story time.
Read on GoogleMy son was at a smaller setting / child minder before joining this one. This setting is actually run by the same team that is currently running Little Bloom Day Nursery. We, and more importantly my son were very happy at the smaller setting but conscious of the fact he will be at reception next year we decided to move him to a bigger setting so we can prepare him for reception year. We could not be and more importantly our son be more happier. It’s perfect. The environment is perfect. Very spacious. Very welcoming. Clean. Lots of activities. Garden. A lot to do. Our son loves the place as do we. The staff are phenomenal. Very welcoming, very warm, very understanding , very professional. Absolutely amazing. We love the famly app also which this nursery uses and we are provided with updates daily. We are provided with timelines of activities and observations made by the staff and lots of photos. My son is so happy here and I have no doubts under the stewardship of the staff he will be ready for the reception year. Amazing.
Read on GoogleHighly recommend Nursery. My daughter loves it
Read on GoogleExceptional nursery if your goal is to raise a mentally resilient toddler ready for the SAS by Reception year. This is not a nursery. It’s essentially a performance academy for tiny alpha humans. Nap time? Weak mentality. The children are instead encouraged to ‘push through the fatigue barrier’ with motivational affirmations and what I’m fairly sure are toddler-sized protein shakes. My son came home calling warm milk and Fruit Shoots “recovery beverages for losers.” Playtime isn’t playtime either. One little girl completed a farmer’s carry and then rejected party rings as a snack and opted for zero fat Greek yogurt instead. Our son once cried after not getting a toy during share time and the nursery manager Sana asked us what systems we had in place at home to improve mental toughness and asked if we had considered therapy ourselves. Please avoid this place.
