What it's like
Staff create a welcoming and supportive environment where children are confident to explore their surroundings and form positive and secure attachments with staff. However, inconsistent staff deployment, ineffective routines, and a lack of consistent behaviour management strategies lead to children's loss of focus and poor behaviour, impacting other children's experiences. Children enjoy imaginative play and staff support their independent play and social interactions.

Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Staff encourage children to have a go at things, such as riding the tricycles and crawling through tunnels in the garden. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
My little one has attended LCA Honor Oak since she was 1 year old, and she loves all the activities the nursery provides. Seeing her have the biggest smile going to school and leaving school every day is the most satisfying thing a parent can ask for. The teachers are kind and energetic, and they create a nice atmosphere in the classroom. We're going to move home soon, and really sad to leave this lovely community. We would recommend this nursery to other new parents for their little one(s) in the area.
Read on GoogleOur child started age 1 year and has moved into lions then tigers. We have found the nursery to be excellent. The staff are warm and caring and we get good feedback throughout the day, with pictures of what he is doing. The observations capture him well and the staff all know his personality so well. He has lots of fun and is beginning to tell us about his friends and what he does during the day. The food seems excellent and he has daily access to a large garden space. We've been very happy with the communication with us as parents and the care and attention our son has received. Thank you !
Read on GoogleOur eldest son attended LCA Honor Oak from 1-4 and our middle son from 1-3 but we have chosen not to send our daughter (now 11 months). Whilst we always felt the children were well looked after and some of the facilities were strong vs others in the area (eg garden, number of separate rooms), we had grown fatigued with the staff turnover issues and how the management and owners handled those issues. We wish the nursery well and hope it manages to work through the problems, as there are some lovely parents and children in attendance.
Read on GoogleI am only now getting round to writing this, but it's been bugging me ever since: This nursery's practice of taking a non-refundable deposits, for a spot on the waiting list is an outright SCAM. We did so (~£70?) and were told that the nursery were unable to give us an estimate of when or if a place would come up for our child. That is pure rubbish - they would definitely know the answer to that. My belief is that they continue to take deposits long after there is ZERO chance of the child getting a place there. Utter SCAM - steer clear.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been attending little cubs for over 6 months and she loves it. She seems very happy and I’m really pleased with how much effort the staff clearly put into activities and keeping the classes entertained! They offer opportunities for parents and grandparents to visit and read books which I have really enjoyed as I get to meet the whole class! They do evening online classes for parents to learn about sleep and food from specialists. My daughter seems to love the food and eats all sorts of things she doesn’t try at home so I’m pleased she is getting that variety. The staff spend a good amount of time with you at the end of the day letting you know all about your child’s day which I really appreciate. Overall just a fantastic experience.
