Colourbox Nursery is a nurturing early years setting that prioritises high-quality childcare and education for young children. Operating from a warm, home-like environment, the day nursery caters to children from six months to five years old, fostering individual growth within a diverse community.

The dedicated team, some with over 15 years of experience, implements the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework to create stimulating and challenging activities tailored to each child's interests. They believe in providing first-hand experiences through play, ensuring a safe, inviting, and enriching atmosphere for learning and development.

The day nursery values strong partnerships with parents, acknowledging their crucial role as primary educators in their child's early years. Staff maintain open communication, providing regular updates on children's progress through an electronic journal called ‘Baby's Days’ and detailed verbal feedback at the end of each session.

This collaborative approach aims to support children in developing a strong sense of self, confidence, and respect for others, in line with promoting 'British Values'.

Colourbox Nursery works towards supporting children so they can develop a strong and positive sense of themselves. We give children the opportunity to feel confident, speak and have their own opinions valued. We promote 'British Values' which lays emphasis on tolerance and a democratic society where freedom of speech lives comfortably alongside respect for all. Children at Colourbox Nursery are thought and shown fun ways we promote British Values and this is impeded in our activities.

What it's like

Children are safe and happy at this intimate, home-from-home setting, forming close attachments with kind and caring staff. They are excited about choosing from a range of activities and show respect towards their friends. Children have many opportunities to access fresh air and thrive in the inspiring garden.
