Seedlings Day Nursery, established in 2004, is a childcare setting located in Forest Hill, London, in the borough of Lewisham. It operates from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, providing full day care for children aged 0 to 4.
The nursery is staffed by a team of 23, with 14 holding recognised early years qualifications, including three at Level 6, two of whom have early years professional or qualified teacher status. The nursery focuses on supporting children's future learning through a well-devised curriculum, ensuring each child's progress is monitored from their unique starting points.
Staff are adept at identifying potential gaps in development and implementing personalised learning plans, including support for children who speak English as an additional language. The setting also prioritises children's emotional literacy through effective settling-in procedures, high expectations for behaviour, and engaging methods like 'The Colour Monster' story to help children express their feelings.
Managers foster a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to initiate their own play ideas, contributing to an inclusive and engaging atmosphere for all children.

THE best nursery we ever could have wished for. Our boys are so happy here and the staff are incredible! Lots of learning through play and allowing the children to develop their own personalities & interests.
