The nursery embraces the Montessori philosophy, believing that each child is unique and benefits from learning at their own pace within mixed-age groups.
This approach allows younger children to observe and be inspired by older peers, while older children reinforce their skills and build self-confidence by acting as role models. The nursery prioritises a close partnership between staff and families, ensuring children are well-supported in small group settings.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents report that their children are well cared for and staff are calm, friendly and approachable.
They have high praise for the positive impact the staff have on their children's learning and development.
Inclusion & environment
Staff use what they know about each child's individual needs to help support their transitions, especially for children who may need extra reassurance.
Leaders and staff carefully plan opportunities for children to enjoy time outdoors to promote good health and physical activity. Although the nursery does not have an attached outdoor space, a nearby garden is effectively used for physical activity. As children travel to the garden, they comment on what they see and hear, developing their understanding of the world.
