Little forest folk is such a special and unique nursery. Our son started off in a ‘conventional’ indoor nursery setting and we wish we had transferred him to this forest school setting much sooner. He absolutely loves it and it is so healthy for him to be in the great outdoors rather than cooped up indoors in a small inner city nursery (which also has more germs circulating!). I strongly believe that every child has a strong connection with nature and would prefer to be outdoors rain or shine - it is us adults who end up conditioning them otherwise. We were initially worried about the Winter months but do not be deterred by the cold! As long as they are sufficiently dressed and layered and their extremities are kept warm, the children are perfectly comfortable and happy. The staff are also extremely knowledgeable and know what to do in more challenging conditions to ensure the warmth, health and safety of the kids. The staff are really energetic with the children and clearly passionate about nature. We are big fans of the team looking after our son! The nursery still follows the government mandated early years curriculum, but uses nature to teach. I also love that many of the staff members are male, as there are not enough male carers teaching young children. The food offered is extremely healthy, seasonal and vegetarian. I couldn’t recommend Little Forest Folk more and are sad that our son will have to leave it when he starts attending school later this year!

I moved my daughter from an indoor nursery to Wimbledon village LFF and was shocked at how much she transformed from a shy girl who played on her own to a confident and all round happier girl with lots of friends. She looks forward to going into the forest to see both her friends and teachers and her use of numbers and vocabulary has flourished.

I cannot recommend the LFF chain more. Our daughter attends LFF Wimbledon Village and she is thriving. She is happy, and is learning so much about the outdoor world. Jamie is a fantastic manager - always available and always smiling - and he clearly leads a team of happy and motivated staff. The activities each week are always engaging and clearly a lot of the thought goes into them. As a mother of a son and a daughter I am so pleased to see a man leading an early years setting and role modelling to my children. Our son was at LFF Morden, so I know from experience how amazing this chain is. They both attended alternative settings prior to turning 2 which were simply not a patch on the child centred but curious learning LFF provide. I have loved watching my children flourish here.

Our almost 3 year old son has been going to Little Forest Folk Wimbledon Village since he turned 2. Initially he was going for 2 days a week but a few months ago we increased it to 3 days a week as he absolutely loves it! He's so excited at drop off in the mornings and is happy at pick-up. His creativity and imagination have also really flourished and his vocabulary is advancing well too. I love that there are no screens, and the children spend the majority of their time outdoors. It's obvious the educators pay attention to the children as individuals and provide a nurturing environment for development. I also love the thought that goes into the menus and have real comfort in the knowledge that my son is being offered wholesome nutritious food, which he often enjoys eating. I love that there’s no added sugar and no “pudding” after meals which I’ve seen in many other nurseries. I'm so pleased we chose to send our son here rather than a traditional nursery, one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Management and their team do a fantastic job of looking after our son. They are clearly invested in his well-being and development, always keeping us posted during the day with photos, descriptions of what he did that day, and on a more long-term basis, comments on how he is progressing and his future development areas. Our son naturally likes to be indoors where everything is clean and dry, and Little Forest Folk has been fantastic for his development as he has developed a great appreciation and love for the outdoors. Every day when he comes home he is happy and tells us what a great day he has had.
