Actions the provider must take

  • Leaders have failed to inform Ofsted that there was a change to the company business address. Although this is a breach of the requirements of the early years foundation stage, this has no impact on children or the running of the nursery. The provider has now made the necessary notifications on the day of the inspection.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff engage with parents and other professionals very effectively, ensuring that all children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, receive targeted support.

Outdoor space

Staff plan enjoyable opportunities, indoors and outdoors, to support the curriculum. There are times when staff are not always flexible in their approach when following daily routines. For example, they take children outdoors only at set times and do not always consider those children who prefer to play and learn outdoors.

5 star is an understatement! Our son was at Oak tree for a year and a half and had the best, most supported time there. I cannot fault Oak Tree, the staff are incredible, they show so much care & genuine love to the children’s little developing minds. His days were full of so many activities & learning new skills. His picky eating wasn’t a problem, he was always given options & given new foods to try! The staff all pay so much detail to their day and will give you an update at pick up which is lovely. They gave him such a comfortable & safe space, there wasn’t a day my boy didn’t come home after nursery so happy. Oak tree is a hidden gem and all the reviews here reflect how amazing it is. Again, thank you to all the staff at Oak Tree I will shout from the rooftops how special you all are. ❤️

We feel so lucky to have found this nursery. We have two kids here, one in toddler and one in preschool. It’s a special place with exceptional teachers in both the preschool and toddler rooms. They are warm, caring, and passionate about what they do. The activities are well thought out and lots of variety to keep the kids engaged. The change in my eldest since joining has been remarkable. After moving from a well-known chain nursery, within a month he was singing in the evenings and on the way home, his speech had accelerated, and he really gained in confidence. The setting is excellent. It is privately owned, with a huge garden and a lovely local, rural feel to the nursery. They have a brilliant chef onsite who makes delicious home-cooked meals, and there’s a fantastic variety of activities weekly including Hartbeeps and Playball. Communication with parents is very good, and I always feel closely connected to my child’s development. I also love the Monday/Thursday rhythm with Fridays off – it works brilliantly for the boys. My eldest will be starting in the local school in September with a big group of friends, and Oak Tree are doing a fantastic job preparing them for this. My youngest joined the toddler room at two and settled in straight away. He loves the action and variety, and is doing really well. It’s a nurturing, happy place, and I couldn’t recommend it more.

We couldn’t be happier with Oak Tree Nursery! Our son has been attending since he was 2, and it’s been an amazing experience from day one. The teachers are absolutely wonderful – they are kind, caring, and so dedicated to each child’s development. Our son is thriving in their care, and we can see the progress he’s made both socially and academically. We also really appreciate how well informed we are as parents. The communication is excellent, and we always feel up to date on his activities, milestones, and well-being. It’s clear that Oak Tree provides a nurturing and supportive environment where children are encouraged to grow and explore. We couldn’t recommend Oak Tree more highly! It’s been a fantastic choice for our son, and we’re so grateful for the positive impact it’s had on him.

A total hidden gem. The quality of care is amazing at this nursery. I was nervous to leave my son at nursery and was put at ease completely from the start. It is family run and the exceptional teachers stay here for years, so it’s very consistent care. The children all come out beaming and are given such a variety of creative, active and engaging activities. There’s a huge garden at the back, it feels more like a countryside nursery. Most importantly, there feels a lot of love between the teachers and toddlers. My son has really thrived in this environment - starting out very shy, he’s now really blossomed under the care of truly one of a kind teachers. I am sending my daughter there too and am so grateful to know she has it all ahead!

I have two children attending Oak Tree Pre-School nursery and could not rate them more highly. The staff are all lovely and really care for the children. A focus on reading and they are always thinking of new activities for the kids to do. A fabulous outside area also. The staff turnover is very low which is a testament to the community/family feel of the nursery. My kids are very lucky to be there.
