Little Gems, a well-established childcare setting in Manchester, has been operating since 2008 and received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 20th February 2024. Open all year round, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:45 pm, the nursery provides a nurturing environment for children aged 0–4 years.
The dedicated staff team fosters a safe and homely atmosphere where children readily settle and build strong, trusting relationships. The curriculum emphasises the development of social skills, teaching children about sharing, turn-taking, and positive behaviour.
A particularly well-embedded physical development curriculum helps children to build strength, coordination, and fine motor skills, preparing them for future learning. The nursery provides robust Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) provision, with dedicated coordinators who use additional screening tools to identify developmental gaps.
They implement targeted learning plans and make timely referrals to external agencies, ensuring that children who may be falling behind receive swift and appropriate support. Staff regularly engage in conversations and singing with children, encouraging communication and introducing descriptive vocabulary.

You will not find a better nursery than this! The staff are amazing and my little girl loves attending this nursery. I moved my daughter to Little Gems after a bad experience with another local nursery and I have never regretted the move. I can't thank Lou, Rachael, Gill and their team enough - they're fantastic. Highly recommend.
