Inclusion & environment
The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is strong, due to effective partnerships. Staff work closely with parents by sharing ideas, such as simple sign language to aid their children's communication. Staff also follow programmes of work from professionals, such as physiotherapists. As a result, children with SEND benefit from bespoke and consistent support that helps them to achieve.
Staff give lots of opportunities for physical play, encouraging children to use their big muscles as they scoop up autumn leaves from the floor and cooperatively push a camouflage net upwards. Children and staff also benefit from 'wellness' activities such as lying on rugs in the outdoor area to look at clouds with binoculars, which helps them relax and connect with nature.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this preschool! Manager Terri is truly exceptional—she goes out of her way to make sure my child feels safe, loved, and cared for, while also offering me so much support and reassurance as a parent. It’s clear she puts her heart into everything she does. And then there’s Izzie, who is just a gem! Her warmth and dedication shine through, and I’m so touched that she’s even learning the language my child speaks at home to connect with them on a deeper level. This preschool feels like a second home for my child, and I’m so grateful for their amazing team! Agnes xxx
