Nursery operates Monday to Friday. Sessions are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (morning), 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (lunch), and 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM (afternoon). Early start at 7:30 AM and late collection at 6:00 PM are available.
Little Green Dragons Day Nursery, part of Brownhills Community Association, offers childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The nursery has a capacity for 46 children, divided into three age-appropriate groups.
The staff are dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children can develop independently and confidently, preparing them for school. The nursery focuses on a balanced daily routine that includes a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, quiet and active times, and both child-initiated and staff-led play.
Activities are tailored to each child's individual needs and abilities by their key worker, promoting holistic development. Meals are freshly prepared on-site by catering staff, with a rotating menu that accommodates dietary and religious requirements, and offers five portions of fruit and vegetables daily.
Facilities are available for children who need to sleep during the day. The nursery provides an inclusive setting, offering funded places for eligible children.
Parents can also request early starts or late collections for an additional charge. Little Green Dragons aims for every child to leave feeling happy and content.

Food
Meals are freshly prepared onsite each day by our own catering staff. Our menu rotates every six weeks and changes from summer to winter so every child receives a variety of meals. Our menu caters for any dietary or religious needs and we aim to provide a well balanced breakfast, lunch and tea. We gladly adapt meals to cater for individual needs. We try our best to provide special meals for those children with dietary requirements and are happy to discuss suitable foods with you. Our nursery staff are more than happy to assist in the weaning of babies onto solid food and liquidised nursery meals are provided. We always provide children with the recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables throughout the nursery day.

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) well. Staff can identify when children are in need of additional help, carry out regular assessments, and work well with external agencies to provide the best possible outcomes for all children.
Children enjoy exploring the outdoor area, picking lavender from the herb garden, and observing nature, showing their awe and wonder. They also enjoy playing with hula hoops in the playground.
Love this nursery. Lovely staff in the baby room and toddler and my daughter is happy there. Very good value for money.
