About this day nursery

Sunny Days Nursery, located in Burntwood, Staffordshire, is an integral part of Ridgeway Primary Academy. Catering to young children from babies to pre-schoolers, the nursery is structured into distinct rooms: a baby room, a 2-3 years room, and a pre-school room, each designed to meet the developmental needs of its age group.

In the baby room, staff focus on discussing individual routines with parents to ensure a smooth transition and offer a stimulating environment with various activities, a nappy changing area, and cots for rest. The 2-3 years room provides both supervised and independent play opportunities, craft activities, and outdoor experiences.

As children progress to the pre-school room, they engage in more structured routines, preparing them for their eventual transition to school, with a strong emphasis on singing, storytelling, and both indoor and outdoor play. The nursery offers flexible hours from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with options for full days, short days, and half days, and also provides breakfast, lunch, and tea.

Sunny Days Nursery accepts government funding for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds, stretching the 30-hour extended entitlement over 50 weeks of the year to better support working families.
