Little Hands Nursery Schools, established over 30 years ago in 1991, provides high-quality early years care and education for children under five. Located in the South Cambridgeshire villages of Bourn, Linton & Bartlow, Melbourn, and Newton, the nurseries are dedicated to creating a happy, safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the holistic development of each child.

The nursery follows a "Learning Through Play" curriculum, which is designed to help children grow as individuals, developing confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills, an approach strongly supported by early years research. To ensure effective learning, Little Hands maintains a high adult-to-child ratio, allowing for individual attention and child-centred planning.

What it's like

Children arrive at the setting happy and eager to play and explore, highly engaged in activities chosen from easily-accessible resources. They show an interest in Father Christmas and presents, leading staff to provide materials for making presents. Children are content and confidently explore the environment, using new language supported by staff.

Pricing & funding

This nursery accepts Early Years Funding for eligible children. Government funding does not cover the cost of meals, snacks, and consumables, so voluntary charges are requested to cover these shortfalls.
