Little Jesters Pre-School, located in Market Rasen, offers high-quality early years care and education for children aged 2 to 5 years. Operating for 38 weeks a year during term time, the pre-school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace.
As a registered charity run by a voluntary committee of staff, parents, and community members, Little Jesters is committed to fostering confidence, strong moral values, and natural curiosity through imaginative play, creative exploration, and social interaction. The purpose-built preschool room is designed with child-friendly amenities, and a fully enclosed outdoor play area allows for free-flow play regardless of weather.
The curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a high standard of learning and development. The pre-school emphasises individualised support, positive relationships, enabling environments, and a play-based approach to learning, with a focus on preparing children for their transition to primary school.
Little Jesters also maintains strong ties with Faldingworth Community Primary School, allowing children to participate in wider school events and integrate into the larger community.

Inclusion & environment
Children, including children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported by staff to develop skills that help to prepare them for their next stage of development, including starting school. Staff have attended special educational needs coordinator training, giving them good knowledge and understanding of how to support children who may have SEND and how to access professional support promptly. The manager uses additional funding thoughtfully to ensure that children's individual needs are met. Staff quickly identify where children need more support and implement targeted plans.
Children benefit from fresh air and physical daily exercise. Staff subtly join in with children as they play and set children challenges to help them to learn new skills. This includes asking children to roll and spin a plastic hoop, helping to develop their hand-to-eye coordination.
