Middle Rasen and District Pre School, established in 2007, operates from a dedicated premise within the grounds of Middle Rasen Primary School. 30pm, the nursery also provides before and after-school care and opens on selected days during school holidays, catering to children aged 0-11 years.

The dedicated staff create an interesting and relaxing environment, greeting children at the door and supporting them to feel safe and secure, as evidenced by their confident greetings and goodbyes. The nursery maintains an overall "Good" rating from its latest Ofsted inspection on 13th June 2024.

The curriculum covers all areas of the early years foundation stage. Staff understand child development and work closely with parents to tailor learning experiences.

They observe children to identify next steps in learning and plan activities to support progress, including introducing mathematical language and concepts through play. Middle Rasen and District Pre School prioritises physical development, offering varied experiences such as low-level furniture for babies and access to large playground equipment for older children, where they can confidently use climbing walls and slides.

Pre-school children are also encouraged to create ramps with plastic pipes and planks of wood, promoting teamwork and physical skills. The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) ensures that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive appropriate support.
