How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are fully included in the daily routine. Key persons provide one-to-one support and encourage children to take responsibility for tasks. Staff work closely with external professionals, including local authority coordinators, and use strategies such as sensory activities, visual supports, and adapted games to ensure children can fully participate. Leaders and staff have high expectations for children with SEND, which is evident in the positive experiences these children receive.

My daughter has almost completed her first month at this nursery and it's been a great experience so far. The staff have been amazing, always available for questions, advice and updates. They have been really flexible as I've been navigating work life again. My daughter has settled well and seems happy day to day. She gets involved in so many different activities, which is really helping her development. She has also been trying different food and is exploring different tastes and textures. Overall, it's been a positive experience. I've never spent a moment away from my daughter and as tough as this transition was, I am confident that we made the right choice with this nursery.

My daughter has been going here since she was 9 months old and it was the best decision I ever made, the staff are amazing and my daughter absolutely loves every single one of them, she is absolutely thriving here and is becoming such a kind, clever, friendly girl and nursery has played a HUGE part in that! Wish I could give more than 5 stars as it definitely deserves more! The staff aren’t just there for your child they are also there for you too as sending your child to nursery isn’t always easy!

My son has been attending Little Learners Calshot since it opened, and I couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. The staff feels like a close-knit family, and I always feel a positive, welcoming vibe when leaving my son in their care. He’s genuinely excited to go each day and has formed wonderful attachments with the team. The staff is open and communicative, providing me with detailed updates on his day, and the online portal allows me to see everything he’s been doing. I’m truly pleased with our choice and grateful for the nurturing environment they provide.

Lovely little nursery which helped my son transition onto school well, the staff are all friendly and were really attending to my child's needs and gave us all as a family lots of support. Used to get regular updates on his learning journal too which was always lovely to see. Sarah especially is amazing! X

Super friendly staffs. We started sending our 12 month old son this September. The process has been very easy, Sarah the manager has been helpful from the beginning. Emma the owner is so friendly and supportive. Took him just 1 and half weeks to properly settle. Thanks to Lauren and Charlie, they’ve been a STAR in taking care of our son. And now he enjoys his time there.
