Tower Hill Nursery, located in a peaceful cul-de-sac in Birmingham, offers a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children aged 0 to 5 years. The nursery operates from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 51 weeks a year.
Originally a doctor's surgery, the building was thoughtfully redesigned and reopened as a day nursery in August 2016. The nursery prioritises each child's individual needs, striving to provide outstanding care that ensures their interests, safety, and happiness are central to all activities.
Children are encouraged to develop socially and emotionally, learning through play to build relationships and foster confidence, independence, and self-esteem. Facilities include dedicated rooms for babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, along with additional indoor and outdoor spaces designed to enrich children's experiences.
These extra areas, such as three outdoor gardens with a mud kitchen, allotment patch, and herb garden, a sensory room, a language room, and a children's kitchen, aim to bring the curriculum to life and support overall well-being, development, and individuality. The nursery also features a boot room for outdoor play, a hall for large physical activities and pre-school mealtimes, and a parent's room and meeting room for family engagement and support.

Inclusion & environment
Leaders have recently focused on strengthening support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), providing extra training, additional funding for targeted resources, and increased adult support. Staff provide thoughtful and well-planned support for children with SEND, working closely with parents and external professionals to create clear, targeted plans, using visual aids, emotion coaching, and adapted routines.
The outdoor areas offer opportunities for physical play and exploration, including adventurous play experiences such as climbing. However, the learning is not as well planned or timetabled as indoors, which means children have fewer chances to build on their learning across different environments.
Unsure where the positive reviews are from. The nursery staff I can't fault so much but the management ethos is disgusting. They speak rudely to parents if a few mins early, they sanction parents to fines if a minute late and their staff turnover is high. I've spoken to staff that left and they are told to lie about what children have eaten so that they charge parents. I was horrified. Document all conversations if you choose to take your child there. Brightkids on Walsall rd puts these to shame. I regret ever sending my child there who was often left hungry despite them saying he tried it (he sniffed it).
Read on GoogleMy sons been attending for just over a year, starting in the baby room and now in the 2-3 caterpillar room. Throughout the whole setting, the team are friendly and always willing to help as and where needed. Offering help and advice and taking brilliant care of my son. He always comes home and speaks about the different things he’s done and who he’s been with throughout the day. Remembering the staffs names and having a relationship with them makes me feel comfortable leaving him and it reassures me he’s happy there. He absolutely loves the new addition (the caravan) and always tells me about his experience his had in there. My son generally loves being at nursery and taking part in different activities throughout his sessions there.
Read on GoogleI visited this nursery a few weeks ago and stopped looking elsewhere! Would recommended everyone to bring their child here! I have 4 children so I've seen a lot of nurseries and know how they work. I have been to a few nurseries as you do because you only want the best for your child and I can say that tower hill is where my child will stay. All staff are so friendly and welcoming, it's so nice to see such happy faces in the morning and on pick up! Management are so easy to talk to and helpful. I have a 7month old baby and 3 year old son who is into everything. This nursery has so much to offer all the children they can never get bored, soon as he is in the car he just won't stop talking about all the exciting things he got up to and has made a lot of friends since being here. My baby has started to crawl since she has been here and I am so happy when I can just pass her over to the lovely staff and she just smiles as I go off. The rooms are always clean and the girls are always willing to help. Bottles are always cleaned, they have a wide range of dinners and snacks. All the children just look so happy and you can tell when a child is happy and well looked after. Considering its a new nursery they are fab! Great team Best nursery I have seen!! Dont take my review for it just book a visit and have a look for yourself!
Read on GoogleI've been in childcare for 12 years and I've never known a nursery like this one! There's always a warm welcome at the door from management and staff! As for the way the nursery is set out it's absolutely brilliant, they've created such an exciting and innovative environment for the children.. I've never seen anything quite like it! The children have so many different things to get involved in from activities, to multiple gardens, sensory rooms, library and let's not forget the outdoor classroom which is in a caravan.. it's beyond amazing! I am beyond happy to be both a parent and a member of staff at this nursery, and I look forward to many more years to come!
Read on GoogleLovely experience. My LO started in 2022, she settled well and really formed a bond with the staff members. She always commented on them being kind and helpful. Special mention to Shazmin, she is brilliant with the pre-scholars and has a very calming nature. Also a mention to Rio. She was brilliant when settling my LO. It truly is a blessing when you have confidence in the staff members to treat the children with respect and kindness. The new manager has made brilliant changes, she is kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend Tower Hill to others!
