Little Learners Day Nursery, based in Croydon, CR0 2LA, opened in 2023 and provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery has a total capacity of 28 children.
The staff at Little Learners establish secure attachments with all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and swiftly identify and support children needing extra help. They work closely with local authority teams and special educational needs coordinators to observe, assess, and implement next steps.
The setting also places a strong focus on communication and language development, which is particularly beneficial as they support a high number of children who speak English as an additional language. An outdoor area is available where children can develop physical skills through various gross motor activities.
While children are supported emotionally and show a sense of belonging, the curriculum implementation is not consistently structured to scaffold learning, meaning children do not always achieve across all learning areas. However, staff adapt activities to individual interests to reduce learning barriers.
The nursery operates Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30.

My daughter has been attending Little Learners for nearly two years now, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s the perfect nursery for us — within walking distance and much smaller than others we’ve visited. The smaller class sizes and lovely outdoor space were major selling points. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and incredibly considerate. They do so much despite limited support and funding, and it truly shows in the care they provide. My daughter looks forward to nursery every day and always comes home happy and content. The food, care, and learning syllabus are all excellent, and I feel completely confident keeping my daughter there until she moves on to reception. The manager, Jo, is absolutely amazing — responsive, supportive, and always willing to help. No request is ever too big. Little Learners has been a wonderful experience for our family, and we’re so grateful for everything they do.
Read on GoogleWe have been very happy with the care and support our child has received at this nursery. The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely caring, and they have created a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment. Our child has grown so much in confidence and development during her time here, and we are truly grateful for the attention and encouragement she has received. Communication with parents has always been clear and supportive, and we’ve really appreciated being kept involved in her learning journey. As we move on to the next chapter, we leave with many lovely memories and sincere thanks to the whole team. We would happily recommend this nursery to other families.
Read on GoogleI have experienced very friendly staff that look after my baby son very well, his basic necessities are well cared for, he’s very content at the premises, always comes out happy, staff knows on tips what my child did all day there, they are very insightful and cooperative. My son’s thriving well through initial settling. I am being a parent remain well informed about all news happening at the premises. Overall, good nursery with good resources for teaching and play. Thanks for inviting me to write this review. Kinds regards, Miss Zafar
Read on GoogleOur son has been attending the nursery for almost 2years and we have seen how he has blossomed. We chose the nursery based on size as it was it’s diversity; size; and felt our child will have the required oversight and care and not get “lost” and I’m happy that this is still the case. In addition a family member had sent their child also and had no complaints. The nursery may not have all the up to date technology but they do care for your child(ren) well. They made efforts to ensure my son settled well even taking breast milk to give to him to help him with his settling in. My son is so comfortable with the staff and relaxed that he even refers to it as “Ms Janine’s house” as that was his very first key worker and he still has such a bond with her. I’ve also seen great improvements since he has been there such as white board informing parents of tasks and food for the day, sharing weekly lessons plans and also tailoring those plans to the children to nurture their abilities. Staff do their utmost to care for the children and ensure parents are informed which is evidence of good management. As a full time working mum I’ve also appreciated the flexibility of being able to book additional days when my other childcare options are not available. I’m also very much looking forward to the annual nursery trip. If your primary concern is care and comfort for your child(ren) this is a good choice.
Read on GoogleLittle Learners is a very nice nursery that has staff from different backgrounds and ages which helps the children to learn from different ways of thinking. The staff are very attentive to the children and your requests as a parent, they also notify you if something seem different with your child so that you Amy address it at home and be able to give them feed back as to what you did to find the route cause. The children are well looked after & the building itself is in good condition due to good facilities management which I saw a few times when dropping off or collecting my child.
