Little Learners Day Nursery, situated on the University of Reading Whiteknights Campus, offers childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Established over two decades ago and relocating to a purpose-built facility in 2009, the nursery provides 106 full-day care places.
The facility features five child-centred rooms, divided into three units: Daisies for ages 3 months to 2 years, Bluebells for 2-3 years, and Buttercups for 3-5 years. These rooms directly access outdoor play areas, fostering a free-flow environment for exploration and development.
The nursery prioritises individualised care, with experienced staff adapting activities to meet each child's unique needs, from settling in to developing peer relationships. Little Learners is part of the Reading University Students’ Union, a charity dedicated to enhancing student experiences.

Inclusion & environment
All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress. Staff work closely with other professionals to ensure early intervention.
Children benefit from fresh air and exercise throughout the day. Babies confidently climb on see-saws and build on their core muscles. Older children delight in jumping in puddles, enthusiastically digging and making volcanoes in the sand.
Our little girl goes theres since she was just under 8 months old and she is 2 years old now. It was difficult transition for whole family but we had support from all staff, starting from office staff and finishing on lovely, caring and warm people taking care of children. Even though our little one struggled at the beginning with separation, ladies gave her lots of cuddles and support. We were worried how will she cope with the move to older group but she enjoyed it and she thrives there. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nursery.
