About this day nursery

Little Lingfields Limited is a modern day nursery located in Darlington, specifically on the Lingfield Point Business Park. Established in 2007, the day nursery provides a stimulating environment for children, focusing on learning through imagination, creativity, and play.

With a capacity for 59 children, it boasts four distinct classrooms to provide varied experiences for children. The nursery prioritises safety and security, benefiting from an on-site security team at Lingfield Point and CCTV both indoors and in the outdoor play area.

It is conveniently situated with excellent access to major commuter routes like the A1M and A66. The dedicated and qualified staff team, many of whom hold paediatric first aid qualifications and undergo full DBS checks, are committed to delivering high-quality childcare.

The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, implementing Development Matters and In the Moment Planning in its curriculum. Parents are kept informed of their child's progress through an online app called Tapestry and face-to-face communication.

Little Lingfields is open 51 weeks a year, closing only for public bank holidays and one week over Christmas. They also provide home-cooked meals prepared by their nursery cook.

Our ethos

The safety, welfare and happiness of the children in our care have always been our number one priority. We believe that children should be treated as individuals and be safe, loved, happy and stimulated. We use four guiding principles to shape our settings practice: Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self assured; Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships; Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers; Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early year’s provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.

What it's like

Children have very good relationships with their key person and they settle quickly on arrival. Older children demonstrate high levels of confidence and independence, eager to play and make their own decisions. Children are excited to engage in the learning opportunities staff carefully plan for them, developing social skills and imagination.

Pricing & funding

Fees are structured around half-day, full-day, and weekly full-time packages, with separate rates for children under and over two years old. Additional fees apply for meals and snacks, which can be charged per meal or as a weekly package. Fees are reviewed annually.
