Little Ones at Bovey Tracey is a nursery dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. They pride themselves on offering an inclusive service, covering all essentials like nappies, wipes, meals, and sun creams for children under three years old, eliminating the need for parents to pack numerous items daily.
The nursery emphasises freshly prepared, nutritious meals cooked on-site, with children enjoying a 'family group' dining experience that encourages independence and exploration of diverse flavours. They foster strong relationships with families due to their intentionally small nursery size, ensuring every child and parent feels like part of an extended family.
The settling-in programme is flexible and tailored to each child's needs, offered free of charge to ensure a smooth transition. Managers are actively involved in the rooms, building direct relationships with children and parents.
Little Ones at Bovey Tracey also highlights their use of a paper-based record system to create a tangible and treasured record of each child’s journey. ' They are part of Little Ones Childcare, which has multiple locations in the Exeter area, including Whipton, Budlake, and Honiton.
Our ethos
We believe in creating small nurseries, fostering strong relationships with children and parents, and that children need to play to learn. Our planning is focused on the child and is based around current interests, and our staff are highly trained and experienced in spotting learning opportunities and are experts at teaching through play.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities make progress. Effective systems are in place to enable staff to identify areas of support early. Key persons work closely with parents and outside professionals on children's next steps of development.
Babies build their core strength to help them walk by climbing small steps and crawling down a ramp. Toddlers and pre-school children show perseverance as they climb the rungs on a climbing frame and are resilient when they miss a step, continuing to the top.
Little Ones Bovey have looked after my daughter very well. The staff treat the children as individuals and care about their feelings. It is a safe, fun atmosphere where there is an emphasis on manners and being kind. The food is good too!
Read on GoogleLittle ones look after both my daughter's who genuinely love and look forward to coming to nursery. They have both made lasting friendships with their piers and speak highly of "the adults". They often come home with stories of what they've learnt and things they have done. I would highly recommend little ones to any parent considering sending their child there
Read on GoogleUnfortunately the lack of care seems to have changed over the past few years. My eldest attended and it was lovely! We've just took our daughter out with immediate effect due to ongoing lack of support with personal hygiene. It is very unfortunate but you don't expect to put your child in a nursery and them not too be looked after properly. It is very disappointing. Hopefully these issues will be addressed and changed asap!
