Daisy Chain Preschool, established in 1999, offers early years education in Chudleigh at the Scout Headquarters. The preschool operates 50 weeks a year, with term-time only options aligning with Chudleigh Primary School's dates.
They offer flexible sessions including morning, lunchtime, afternoon, all-day, and full-day care. The curriculum is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
They promote healthy eating by providing a morning snack, and milk and water are accessible throughout the day. Parents are asked to provide nappies and wipes for their children, with staff conducting regular changes noted on each child's online 'Tapestry' account.
The preschool also provides breakfast, after-school, and holiday clubs. They actively support parental involvement and familiarise children with routines akin to school requirements, such as bringing a drinks bottle.
Daisy Chain Preschool accepts various government funding options, including the 30 hours and 2-year-old funding, making their services accessible to a wider range of families.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents speak highly of staff and say that staff keep them well informed of their children's daily activities and well-being.
Inclusion & environment
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, staff identified that a higher majority of children needed more support with their speech development. Staff give a strong focus to promoting children's language skills.
The inspector observed children's interactions in play, indoors and outdoors, and had discussions with staff about the activities provided. Staff do not always monitor the range of resources and activities outdoors to ensure they cover all areas of children's learning more consistently.
Can't rate them highly enough, currently use for day care , breakfast club, after school club and holiday club. We actually couldn't cope without them. Been using for 5 years now and Katie and her team are fabulous. Very caring , knowledgeable and kind with my children. My children love it and the education provided is really good.
