Little Orchard House Nursery, established in 2016, is a family-run childcare setting located in Greenford. Housed in a building that was once a barn on an apple and pear orchard over a century ago, the nursery offers a calm and safe environment with a spacious playroom and a large outdoor play area.
It caters to children aged 12 months to 4 years, aiming to foster their growth, exploration, and play in a fun, caring, and nurturing atmosphere. The nursery prides itself on meeting each child's physical, emotional, and developmental needs, guiding them to explore the world, develop new abilities, and form relationships.
The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a focus on nature-inspired and child-led play. Mixed-age groups in the playroom are encouraged to promote creativity, empathy, and kindness among peers.
Outdoor play is considered vital for developing confidence and exploration in nature, with staff supporting children's imagination and ideas. The nursery also emphasises sensory play to aid language development, cognitive growth, problem-solving, and social interaction.
Meal times are an integral part of the experience, with seasonally changed menus offering balanced and wholesome meals prepared on-site, encouraging children to experience new tastes and textures while learning to dine with peers.

Inclusion & environment
Staff actively seek support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This enables early diagnosis, and allows staff to implement support plans without delay so gaps in learning can close swiftly. Staff have detailed knowledge of the very specific needs of each child and work closely with parents and outside agencies to agree and constantly update individual care plans.
Children are encouraged to choose where they would like to play, either indoors or outdoors. They regularly take part in mindfulness activities and play outdoors. For example, children learn to be active and engage in physical play as they run, jump and climb in the playground, chase bubbles and dance to music.
We couldn’t recommend this nursery more if we tried! We have been so pleased and impressed with this nursery. Both our children have attended here and the care and attention from all of the staff has been fantastic in their early years development journey. It is run like a small family nursery with all the attention to detail that you would expect. I find it also to be really nurturing and caring for the children and they take their time to make sure that they personalise the care and the attention that your child. They take the time and effort to speak to you every day one-to-one at pick up to tell you about your child’s day and anything that you need to be aware of. Their communication is great and we really couldn’t be happier with this choose for both our children. All the staff Lavinia, Ella, kulbir, Amrita, Lily, Sara and Sacha are all amazing!
Read on GoogleThe best nursery! My daughter was attending to Little Orchard for 1.5year. It was the best decision, she was always very happy and excited to go. All teachers are lovely , she received so much love in there. I recommend this place with all my heart ❤️
Read on GoogleGreat nursery, highly recommend. Our daughter has loved starting nursery thanks to Little Orchard. She skips in and doesn't turn back. I was worried about her starting, last month, but she's settled in so well. She's already made friends, eats all her meals and she comes home singing nursery rhymes and telling us lots of stories. All thanks for the wonderful team at Little Orchard, especially Sacha who has been so supportive and my daughter's teacher Ella who keeps us updated. We're so reassured when our daughter is there and we know that's she's in great hands. I look forward to soon seeing all the lovely updates on the parents online social page too.
Read on GoogleHighly recommend this nursery! My son started at the age of 2 and absolutely loves attending! It’s a free flow nursery which is perfect for little ones to settle in as a first nursery before starting primary school. My daughter has also joined at the age of 1 and she has settled in very well due to the friendly kind staff. Thank you to everyone at Little Orchard House for making it easy for me to leave my children with you and not worrying about them while at work.
