Food
Parents are asked to provide nappies, wipes, creams, a change of clothes, and any comfort items for their child's first day, with staff informing parents daily if supplies need replenishing.
Bearfield Nursery, operating as Peapods Early Learning Centre, is dedicated to fostering a secure and stimulating environment for young children. They emphasise a collaborative relationship with parents and carers to ensure each child feels comforted and engaged.
Upon enrolment, families are invited to 'settling in' sessions where a key person is introduced. This dedicated staff member gathers essential information about the child, completes registration forms, and familiarises parents with the nursery's policies and procedures.
The nursery's approach to settling in involves parents gradually leaving their children for short periods, ensuring a smooth transition while providing comfort if a child becomes distressed. Regular discussions between staff and parents cover the child's progress, social interactions, participation in activities, and familiarity with routines and resources.
Peapods also highlights the importance of providing necessary items for a child's day, such as nappies, spare clothes, and comfort items, with staff routinely updating parents on supply levels. The centre prides itself on its 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating, a testament to its commitment to quality childcare and early education.

Inclusion & environment
The curriculum is thoughtfully sequenced to help disadvantaged children and children who speak English as an additional language to progress well. The provider uses additional funding well to help children to make the best possible progress.
Children enjoy opportunities to be physically active in their play. For instance, they squeal with delight as staff chase them around the garden pretending to be the big bad wolf.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. This week , I went to visit the nursery with my child as appointed; only to have the door slammed shut in my face on numerous occasions by two separate members of staff and to be told that the manager had to leave early because of a family emergency. The decent thing to do would have been to alert all parents who were to visit on that day and let them know beforehand as I lost out on my pay that day. Also, knowing that staff can behave in such a way, does not give me any reassurance that they can care for my child in a competent manner. As a healthcare professional who works with children, I will be advising parents to avoid this nursery at all cost if they ever ask me. Their behaviour made me feel exactly like this image>>>
Read on Googlei've taken both of my children to this nursery from the day they were eligible, this has to be the best nursery when it comes to child development and child care, the staff care for your children as well as caring for the parents, they have an amazing app that lets you keep up to date with your child's progress, what they've eaten, and how many times they've been changed through out the day, the difference in my children's social skills, speech development and independence is very clear and amazing! Thank you so much for the service you provide.
