Little Parrotts Childcare, established in 2020 by Christine Parrott, offers exceptional early years education and a nurturing environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery focuses on fostering a love for learning, sparking curiosity, and equipping children with essential skills for their future.
Their mission is to provide a caring, happy, and safe space where children can engage in developmentally appropriate play tailored to their individual interests. The setting is divided into three age-based groups: Parrott Nest (0-2 years), Parrott Chicks (2-3 years), and Parrotts Preschool (3-5 years), each in a calming, natural environment designed to promote independence and well-being.
These rooms are rich with resources that encourage exploration and learning, guided by fully qualified Room Leaders and practitioners. Little Parrotts adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring high standards of care and education.
The team consists of carefully selected, highly qualified individuals who undergo continuous professional development, hold enhanced DBS checks, advanced paediatric first aid, and food hygiene certificates. The nursery strongly values partnerships with families, maintaining open communication and collaboration to support each child's learning journey.
They are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, promotes respect, kindness, and empathy, helping children develop crucial social skills and a sense of belonging.

Inclusion & environment
Staff work closely with parents and other professionals to create individually tailored plans for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This ensures all children make good progress from their starting points.
Children enjoy continual access to safe outdoor play, and the available resources outdoors are easily accessible to children. However, staff do not fully consider how these consistently provide choice or remain appealing to all children, reducing opportunities to extend all areas of their learning and development.
We've been using Little Parrotts for the past four years with both of our boys attending - it has proven to be a wonderful and nurturing environment for both. Christine and her team really take the time to care for the children as individuals and provide them with a warm, friendly and fun-filled space to express themselves. Our eldest is now at school but has such fond memories of his time - our youngest still attends and couldn't be happier, which is such reassuring feeling - we're really grateful and feel very lucky to have had the Little Parrotts team look after both.
Read on GoogleLittle parrots has been such a wonderful area for my daughter to grow up in. She started at just 18 months old and is now 3 and still get so so excited to go each week. She comes home and talks about her friends and teachers all week. It has been a no brainer to enroll my son to start in January as both teams we have worked with in both the baby room and toddler room have been nothing but warm, welcoming, attentive and professional. The teachers really care about each child and it shows. Suzanne a toddler room key worker has been an integral part of my daughter’s development and for that we are forever grateful.

Read on GoogleWe’ve been using little parrots for the last 3 years, the whole team have been incredible! Helping aid development, keeping us up to date with progress and really making the children feel loved and supported in everything they do! My daughter who can be quite shy walks into nursery with a quick wave goodbye eager to see her friends! Daisy, shaneace , Claire and Suzanne have been incredible over the last 2.5 years! My daughter even named her guinea pig after shaneace! My second child has now started and I’ve always been made to feel at ease and up to date with how she’s settled in, noting is to much for the whole team and they all really care about the children just like you’d want!
