Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
"parents say that they feel well informed about their child's day and what they need to learn next."
"Parents comment positively about the improvements made over the last 12 months and remark on what their child tells them about the activities they have enjoyed."
Inclusion & environment
Children consider the safety of other children as they practise running jumps outside. Staff use chalk to mark the distance jumped and children eagerly consider who jumped the furthest.
Staff adapt their interactions appropriately to support children who speak English as an additional language. They use pictures and single words to help build children's understanding. However, children do not hear or use their home language in the nursery. This hinders their progress in making connections with what they know and in developing confidence to speak in English.
THE BEST! We are Americans and have been using New Horizons Day Care for over a year. Bev, the owner, is so personable and truly cares about your children. She has a brilliant way of teaching the children through play, visuals and kinesthetic learning. I can not praise the staff enough for being so kind, curious and creative with the children. The rates are very fair, and I feel that my children are safe and that their minds are expanding while at New Horizons. My twins' (3 years) language skills have really blossomed while at New Horizons. I fully trust Bev and her staff with my children.
Read on GoogleI love this daycare. My son attended nursery at age 3 and now after school care at age 4. The facility is large and each room has its own purpose and theme. The staff is fantastic and my son loves Ms. Laura, Beverly and Tiffany. I'm really glad I made the choice to have him attend.
Read on GoogleMy child had been here a few months now and he's very happy. Although it's a large operation the carers all seem to know and care about each child. They do daily activities and send pictures and updates on behavior and interaction skills which is so, so nice.
